"David Paul Brooks was born in Nyack, New York. Starting out as young as 5 years old, he and his four siblings sang gospel music led by their single mother. Even after their father had walked out on them, they were brought up in a spiritually focused home by their mother, whom often had 3 jobs and yet made it to every one of their sporting events. He is a Christian Rap singer who decided to write music that was not only positive, but with a message that could set people free from all kinds of things in their lives that may be holding them back from a relationship with God.
David performed with D.O.C. (Disciples of Christ), a Grammy and Dove nominated group, with two number one songs on Christian-HipHop.Net. He has been on the same bill as Salt 'n Pepa, Kool Moe Dee, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, dc Talk, Anointed, Deion Sanders, and many others...Performed on BET (Teen Summit) Gospel Special...Won multiple talent shows...Performed at festivals, amusement parks, in stadiums, churches, clubs, at block parties, outreaches, etc. David has now branched off with solo efforts to reach youth of all ages and all nations through the medium of the arts. This has taken him to new heights in ministry with a secular appeal, to teach, minister, and perform at schools, churches, youth rallies, etc., and to see thousands of decisions for Christ. He and His nephew, Tyrell make up DPB & Crew.
